Why You Don’t Know What to Pray About (And How to Fix It)

Have you ever sat down to pray… and just stared into silence?

Because same.

There was a time I really wanted to be close to God. I loved Jesus, I believed in Him, but my prayer life? It felt all over the place. Some days I’d pray for 20 minutes, pouring my heart out. Other days, I’d say “God, thank You for today” and that was it… then I’d scroll on my phone and forget all about it.

And slowly, I started to feel distant.

Not because God moved… but because I did.

Life got busy. My mind got loud. I started overthinking everything — even prayer. I would sit there like, “What am I even supposed to say?” And instead of it feeling peaceful, it started to feel… stressful.

I think a lot of us don’t talk about that part.

We see people who seem so strong in their faith, who pray so confidently, and we wonder why it feels so hard for us. But the truth is, loving God doesn’t automatically mean you know how to pray consistently.

I had to be honest with myself.

I didn’t have a system. I didn’t have direction. I was just hoping my prayer life would magically become strong without actually building it.

And once I realized that… everything changed.

I stopped putting pressure on myself to be “perfect” in prayer. I started focusing on just showing up — even when I didn’t have the right words. Even when it felt messy.

Because God isn’t waiting for perfect words.
He just wants your heart 🤍

But I also realized something important:
Sometimes we don’t need more motivation… we need guidance.

Something simple. Something that helps us know where to start.

That’s exactly why I created my prayer guide.

Not because I have it all together — but because I needed something like this too. Something that helps you stop overthinking and actually feel confident when you pray.

If you’ve been feeling distant, confused, or inconsistent in your prayer life… you’re not alone.

And you don’t have to stay there.

I made this guide to help you gently come back to God, build a real connection, and finally feel at peace in your quiet time again.

If that’s something your heart has been needing, you can check it out here 🤍

You deserve a prayer life that feels real, not forced.
And God is closer than you think.
